Another way to open files and folders (on Windows) is to simply drag the file or folder into the NBTExplorer window. You could try instead running the Windows version on your mac with mono (see: ). My toolchain to work with the mac version went away for a few years so that was that. It should still work with worlds through 1.12 but there's a hard break starting with 1.13.
